Legendary fighter?

Who was an old-school fighter that played the class well and was a nice person?

I have a nice fighter-only item that I’d like to name after such a fighter.  Leave suggestions/ discussion in the comments.

No wizards please - they get streets and outhouses named after them!

I thought Reorx was the best fighter.

But don’t we have lists with this stuff on it?

No list that I know of.  But this isn’t a “top XP earner” kind of thing - this is more along the lines of who played the class well and was nice enough to others that s/he’s worthy of a permanent honor in the game.

I don’t think Reorx rises to the level of legendary status - and he’s already ruled out because I don’t want anyone that went on to become a wiz.

Well, I never went on to do anything. My char is old as dust tho.

“No wizards” lets out some really obvious choices.

I guess my vote would go to Syris.  A class act through and through, and although not a legend in his time he was certainly effective enough when it came time to slash, slice, and cut.  He aided a whole host of newbies back in the day, and although one of them went on to become the wizard known as Rose, I don’t think we should count that against him.

i think the only “old-school” fighters (that i know of/remember) that helped people were galraith and lynis hehe… they are considered old-school right?

I second Glomis as the nicest fighter.  He was a nice boy and knew the class and game very well.

Okay, I’ve made my pick.  You’ll just have to wait for further developments in Anshelm to see who I picked to pay tribute to . . .

As far as fighters the oldest one that I can remember...which doesn’t say much...was Sadler.
Fair, good player, around for years and years.  There are plenty of others but that is the oldest for me.
